We are committed to offering, not just formal training, but on the job training, coaching and mentoring and development through our online learning platform too. This will help you take control of your own development.

Bespoke training programmes

Our dedicated training team provide expert and bespoke operational training to our frontline employees. Whilst our recruitment processes will identify whether you have the right values, skills and behaviours to be a successful member of our team, our training programmes provide you with the tools, knowledge and skills you will need to do the job.

Access to learning

We are committed to investing in developing all employees and recognise that this investment is crucial to our long-term business success. All employees will be given access to our online learning platform, MTC Learn, from their first week of employment – enabling you to be proactive in developing your career with us. You will have access to bite-sized learning in a variety of different formats you can dip into whenever you have the time. It can also be accessed on both laptops and mobile phones to enable learning on the go!

Leadership and management development

As we grow and expand our reach as an organisation, we continue to offer fantastic career development opportunities to our people. We aim to develop our future leaders and managers from within the organisation through our coaching, mentoring and development programmes. In fact, 62% of our management roles are currently occupied by people who have progressed within the business. 

Continuous professional development

We believe that continuous professional development is essential to keeping you motivated at work and therefore support our employees to embrace a range of learning opportunities in their desired field. We offer to fund one annual subscription with a professional body or organisation for each employee so you can develop within your chosen profession by accessing any updates in legislation, articles and other material that can help you to grow and develop.

Talent management

We strive to invest in and develop our employees through our personal development and talent management cycle each year; ensuring we set clear objectives, measure performance and invest in employees who excel and have an appetite for bigger challenges or more responsibility.

MTC have really invested in me. On top of the five-week training course I completed to become a DCO, I have become a Mental Health First Aider and subsequently completed my training to become a Use of Force Instructor.
